How To

How to make a perfect Omelette

Omelets are my favorite breakfast dish. But how do you create them perfectly? I've tried many different methods and recipes, but none of them seem to work! So today, I want to share some tips and tricks with you so you can make your own delicious and fluffy omelets every morning.

We should first know that eggs are very temperamental ingredients when making omelets. You must get them fresh, organically, and keep them cold until you cook. The yolks and whites will not form properly if they aren't kept cold enough. This makes your omelets look weirdly colored. If you want to make omelets right away, it's best not to use eggs that are too cold.

Another tip is to separate the egg before adding it to the pan. The yolk and white should not be mixed together as this can cause the omelet's curdle.

You could end up burning the bottom half of the egg if the egg is added directly to the heat source. Instead, heat the egg in a microwave for 10 seconds and then place it in a pan. The microwave heat is sufficient to cook the egg without overcooking.

Next, let's discuss mixing the eggs. Mix eggs well together. To do this, take the bowl from the mixer and flip it upside-down. Then shake the bowl vigorously. This will whip the air around the bowl and mix the egg well.

Now comes the fun part - pouring the milk into the mixture. Fold the eggs in the milk mixture by first pouring half of it into the egg whites. You don't need to worry if streaks remain. They will disappear once you flip your omelet.

After you have folded the eggs, heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. Once the oil has started to sizzle, turn the heat down to low. Once the oil begins to heat, add 1/4 cup butter and swirl the pan to coat it. Next, carefully open the lid and sprinkle salt into your pan. An additional pinch of salt will prevent the omelet form sticking to your pan.

Once the omelet has formed, cover the pan again and wait for the top side to set completely. Use a spatula to flip the omelet or turn the pan upside-down. Cook the second side for a minute or so. Remove the omelet from the pan and serve immediately.

This recipe works best when you use whole milk.
